Who can get the Child Tax
Credit?
The Child Tax Credit comes in two
parts.
The regular Child Tax Credit lowers the
taxes you owe by up to $1,000 per child.
The Additional Child Tax Credit can give
you a refund if you don't owe any taxes.
A child can count if: - he or she is 16 or younger at the end of the
year - you can claim him or her as a dependent on your tax
return.
Also, you and the child must both have a
Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification
Number.
