What is an
Individual Development Account
(IDA)?
An IDA is a special
kind of savings account.
If you qualify, you can get an extra $2
put in the account for every $1 you put in.
In return, you agree to use the money for
certain things, such as buying a car or a home, going to
school, or starting a business.
If you put $1,000 in an IDA, you
can have $3,000 total!
